Ireland Admission Process

Requisites

  • Apply Online (Average Application Fee € 40-60)
  • IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in all Sections
  • 70 % Academic Score for Universities (3-4 backlogs)
  • Few Universities accept at 60 % and IELTS 6.0 with no band less than 5.5
  • Institute of Technologies and Private Colleges are Flexible with Academics
  • Unconditional Offer on Minimum deposit of 6000 Euros (for Tuition 12,000 Euros and Less. Above 12,000 Euros student have to deposit 50 % of Tuition Fee)

  • Supplementary Student Application Form (dfa.ie Website)

  • Medical Insurance
  • Original Police Clearance Certificate
  • Proof you have sufficient funds to support your stay in Ireland

Normal VISA

  • VISA Fee: Single Entry- Rs 6700
  • VISA must be applied with an unconditional offer at VFS, 6 Weeks prior to the proposed date of travel
  • 50 % Tuition Deposit

AIP VISA (Approval In Principle Scheme)

  • For Pending final year mark sheets and provisional Certificate
  • Apply 7 weeks before Course state date
  • VISA will be issued (from Ireland Embassy New Delhi) after submission of missing documents

Funding at VISA

  • Tuition Fee plus Living Expense (€ 10,000) in liquid funds has to be presented in form Education Loan, Bank Savings or Fixed Deposit
  • Income proof of parents is required
  • VISA will be issued (from Ireland Embassy New Delhi) after submission of missing documents
Ireland “D-Type” student visa processing time is variable and typically takes six to eight weeks from date of application at VISA Office/ Consulate.

GNIB Residence Permit

Initially VISA would be issued for 30-90 days and the student will have to register at GARDA National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) after arrival in Ireland with € 3,000 in Irish Bank account and Student ID Card. Students would have to Present the following documents,

  • Valid Passport
  • Confirmation of enrolment (Student ID Card)
  • Evidence of funds (bank savings, Loan letter)
  • Evidence of Health Insurance
  • Processing fee of € 300
  • passport-size photograph – four

This residence permit allows you to stay in the country for up to 12 months and will receive a Certificate of Registration (known as a Green Book)
