Yes, an Australian degree is accepted not only in India but across the globe. The education system in Australia is known for its quality and research-based education.

There are majorly two intakes in Australia

  • February Intake - Semester 1 
  • July Intake - Semester 2

Most of the Universities in Australia accept IELTS overall band of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0. Very few universities accept IELTS overall band of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5. 

Top universities in Australia accept 2-3 backlogs and some universities accept up to 8 backlogs.

GRE is not mandatory for Australian Universities. In case a student with GRE applies to Australian Universities, his/her GRE would be considered as an additional factor but is not mandatory for Australian Universities.

Yes, there are ample scholarship opportunities in Australia. Most of the universities offer minimal scholarships during their admission. In case a student is interested in additional scholarships he/she needs to make a separate application for such scholarships. However, such scholarships are highly competitive.

Yes, OSHC(Overseas Health Cover) is mandatory for completing the Australian Visa process.

The average cost of OSHC would be around $1500(approximately) per year. However, an additional cover can be availed for dependents.

Yes, Australian Student Visa class allows students to work while studying. However, Visa should clearly mention the clause to work. In general, students can work for 20 hours per week(40 hours per fortnight) during semesters and full-time(40 hours per week) during semester breaks.

Yes, Australian Universities generally issue CoE(Confirmation of Enrolment) only if the student proves that he/she has enough genuine funds to cover his tuition fee, living expenses and other ancillary expenses in Australia. On top of that, a student had to produce his one-semester tuition fee along with the proof of funds to receive CoE.

Education loan is not mandatory for Australian Student Visa. However, it is highly recommended that a student opts for an education loan. In general, it is also advisable that a student pay his first term tuition fee from his education loan.

It is always advisable to show funds as

  • Bank Balance with minimum 3-6 months history
  • Fixed deposits of 3-6 months old
  • Education loan with collateral security

Students generally get 2 years of post-study work visa after their  2 years of masters. In case a student studies in a regional area, he can get PSWV up to 4 years(2+2 additional years).
